Unattended Death, Medical Emergencies, Crime Scenes, Suicide, Fingerprint Dust, Tear Gas
After a personal experience with an unattended death in our family, and as medical professionals, Absolute Bio-Recovery Service East recognized the need for a company to offer not only professional, but compassionate and ethical cleanup services for families and business owners tackling the daunting task of cleaning up after an unattended death, crime scene, industrial accident or suicide.
Contrary to popular belief, emergency response teams do not provide cleanup services after a medical emergency, suicide, murder, industrial accident or unattended death. The property owner is responsible for the remediation; which is generally covered by homeowners or business insurance policies.
Family members, friends nor untrained employees should not have to take on the added emotional weight or physical risk, by cleaning up potentially infectious materials after a traumatic event.
Biohazard remediation is a both a complex process and immense liability for property owners if the scene is not cleaned properly. Not only must property owners conform to OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen regulation (29 CFR 1910.1030) or risk potential fines, ethically they must ensure that all other potentially infectious material (OPIM) is properly treated, removed and disposed of properly to avoid the risk of infecting other occupants.
Upon arrival at the scene, our certified technicians will ensure your safety and well being, remove and/or treat contaminated items, check for other potentially infectious matter that is not visible to the naked eye and restore your property to a safe, healthy environment.
